Parenting consultant and author Michael Aiello has been helping parents and children connect and grow together for over 20 years.
This site is dedicated to healing the Parent/Child relationship, building positive communication, and parenting from the positive spectrum. Michael Aiello, M.S., has been working with families in the mountains of northern California for over twenty years. She understands the many dilemmas that parents face and offers compassionate guidance through the confusing and sometimes maddening maze we call parenthood.
Michael has written a book on healing the Parent/Child relationship, Nitty Gritty Parenting: A Practical Guide for Navigating the Challenges of Parenting. Nitty Gritty Parenting is a helping guide intended for parents to better understand how to parent from the positive spectrum; how relationships can become derailed; where the pratfalls lay and how to rescue a relationship drifting toward or submerged in negative waters. This book includes the psychological processes that can cause havoc with even the most positive intentions of a parent. The writings in Nitty Gritty Parenting stem from the problems that parents have brought to Michael the most often over the years. Embedded within the writings are the workable solutions and an insightful look at the underpinnings of relationship.
Parenting Consultation sessions are now available, and Michael can meet with parents and children to facilitate the process of dismantling negative cycles, increasing comfort levels for more successful communication, setting up positive guidelines for consequences and contracts, and instilling the confidence for parents and children to interface with each other in more loving and mutually respectful ways.
